Sunsets in Taiwan

The past several weekends, I've had the opportunity to catch wonderful sunsets in the city I live in. If you are familiar with Taipei, then you probably know about Taipei 101, the building previously known as the tallest building in the world. It towers over the landscape. It is supposed to resemble a bamboo stalk. Some of these shots were taken from Elephant Mountain, in the Xinyi area. The photo with Taipei 101 in the deep background was taken from a temple in Wuzhishan. and the last is from another popular tourist site in Taipei, Danshui. The sunsets there are also magnificent.

Opening

Welcome to Ronin Photography. A brief introduction is in order. I have been a “photographer” for almost two years. I am a self-taught digital SLR carrying shutter-clicking viewer of our world. Photography started out as a hobby, and has evolved into a more passionate hobby. Everyday alive, I grow and learn more about this method of self-expression. I hope to share with you my journey, told with visuals and a few words scattered throughout. But words detract and distract from the meaning that is found in the photograph. Words sometimes serve to distinguish and divide, while pictures stand naked for interpretation. I don’t claim to be skilled at photography, but I do like the photos I take. With that said, art is art, laid out to the scrutiny of each viewer, to be accepted or detested, loved or loathed. I hope there is more love.
